I was leery on spending so much on a device that simply fills disposable food pouches. Now that I've used it, I am very grateful that I made the purchase! I make my own baby food and have found that if you're only filling one or two pouches (as I do before going to Grandma's, etc.), you can screw the tube directly on the pouch and fill it that way. Works the same and you don't have to get the "frame" of the Squeeze Station dirty! Also, I have some reusable pouches that are a pain to fill. I've found that if you cut the pouch off a disposable one and keep just the top threaded part (which I then wash and reuse), you can attach it to the Squeeze Station and set the reusable pouch under and use it to fill. Be sure the reusable one is underneath before filling the tube - sometimes some liquid will drip out. I also use it for applesauce and yogurt for the older kids when we have our summer outings. The plastic containers I have always leak (even the leak-proof ones) and I have NEVER had a problem with one of these leaking. Overall, I am very happy with my investment and will be using it for many years to come!
I love the Infantino Squeeze Station! I love the Infantino Squeeze Station! I love the Infantino Squeeze Station!
It really makes my life much easier. I cook in large batches and store the food in the bags and then freeze them.
In the morning I take the ones I need out and put them in the fridge to defrost. When i go out I take them with me and its simple. I don't have to wash bowls or cups. I simply squirt the food into the spoon and toss the bag when were done. I also feed my baby directly from the pouch as well. She loves that!
I like that i can give my baby home made food on the go. That i know exactly what goes into her food and that's i have a convenient way to take these.
The bags have tons of space for me to write whats in them.
You should not get these without the filling station! They would be impossible to fill! Be careful when it has small chunks.
The only drawback is that now that my baby is starting to eat more solids you cant fill these with chunks. It would be great if they had a larger upper tray with larger holes. But it has served their purpose up until now. I will still continue to use them to make fruit purees but not soups.
I recommend this to all my friends with babies. the price isn't bad at all and you will get tons of use!
I bought this squeeze station when my son was 6 months old. I was buying the pre-made pouches from Plum Organics, etc. and really liked the convenience of them but couldn't justify the cost. I also wanted to make my own baby food for my son so I knew what was in it and how it was prepared. I tried out a couple reusable pouches before purchasing this system, and while they were fine, I found that they weren't practical for making big batches of baby food, nor were they terribly easy to clean. I love love love this system! I would make a big batch of baby food once a month, fill all of my pouches, and store them in the freezer. It only took a few hours a month to prepare the pouches. I would steam all of my fruits and veggies, puree them with an immersion blender, and then fill the pouches with the squeeze station. I stored them in the freezer. On the days I wanted to use them, I would just take one out of the freezer and toss it in my diaper bag. It was defrosted and ready to eat by lunch or snack time! So easy! Now that my son is a toddler, I still use the station to make snack pouches for the days that we're on the go. He loves eating from the pouches! And bonus--now he can eat them all by himself! I'll do a bunch of different fruit and veggie options, like kale, spinach, carrots, and apples. I love that I can get my toddler to eat so many different greens and other veggies just by putting them in these pouches! I can't say enough good things about this item!
This small contraption couldn't be more user friendly. Don't let the fear of being overwhelmed take away your willingness to give it a try. My wife has food processed and blended and used cube trays and small containers. This packet press turns our kitchen into a high quality baby food processing center every two weeks and cranks out enough food for our 10 month old to enjoy fresh produce all the way through. The way my wife phrases it: "Three hours of processing and I am set for two weeks. I also never have to worry about the quality of what our baby is fed!" Apples, pears, plums, carrots & kale, green beans, peas. This week she is adding yogurt and beets as well as beans to the mix. There may be a limit to what can be processed with this small, space efficient press- but we haven't found it yet! So don't be overwhelmed! Give it a try!
I imagine the person who came up with this idea is currently rolling in a pile of money and just admiring what a genius they are lol.
This little thing is just simply amazing. I love when kid products work out to be everything you want them to be because as well as we all know, they often do not me our expectations.
This was so easy to use and the cleanup took no time at all. On my first try I expected all the stuff to squirt up on the sides when you push the push tool down. It did a little when I overfilled it mainly with a mix using bananas because its quite thicker but overall I had no problems. I recommend this to all moms out there wanting to give their kids homemade pureed foods. I was able to make apples, beets and blueberries and my son (4yr) ate it up with no problem. A great way to sneak in veggies and save money. The spinach and pear one he loved but the color put him off at first so I recommend for not so fun looking colors to wrap festive duck tape around the package. ;) They last in the fridge for 48hrs and in the freezer for 2 months. They give you a magnet stating this.
I bought this in 2013 and used for a year. I never bought any baby food at the store. I boiled vegetables and spent a couple hours preparing these - 2 hours of prep would feed my baby for a month! I froze them in the same trays I used for breast milk. It’s now 2020 and the design is still the same. I just passed this down to a friend who is expecting her first and she cannot wait to use it.
With my first baby, this squeeze station was not invented yet. I did shell out some money for the pricey pouches in the store, but my first didn't mind eating things with her fingers (even yogurt and cottage cheese).
Fast forward to my second baby, and I don't feel like dealing with a huge mess during eating time. Of course, she is too independent to let me feed her, so these pouches are a saving grace. I love that you can make just about anything in them. One of my daughter's favorites is butternut squash, coconut, and applesauce. Quite tasty!
I make a lot at one time and freeze them. The packaging says to only freeze for 2-3 months, but I think longer is fine. Use your own discretion. Also, for an even easier time, pair with one of those rubber tops that allow baby to suck from the pouch without making a huge mess.
Long story short my baby was 3 pounds at birth. She was doing stellar at packing on the pounds until she figured out how to move. She is very active and has been steadily losing weight. She is 13 months and weighs only 11 pounds. Doctors gave me a month to get her to 15 pounds or they'd need to give her a feeding tube. So I have had her on a high calorie high protein diet. That kind of baby food is hard to find. I was wasting so much food because she is so tiny she can't possibly eat it all before it goes bad. So I invested in this product. I am a single mom who works full time. This is a time saver and I know she will get the calories and proteins she needs. I am able to make a weeks worth of food for her in under an hour. I can go to work knowing she will have plenty of yummy protein shakes, purees, and smoothies. I will use this well into her school years and would recommend it to anyone who has a baby.
We have saved lots of money by investing in this over purchasing store pouches (which run at least $1-2 each!). It's great to make whatever combinations of fruits/veggies/yogurts/etc for our kids and sneak in some great nutrition. The system is messy (don't let the videos fool you) but it works great. The bags lock nicely into the system then you attach the bowls on top. You really need the funnel - which is purchased separately but should just come with this - it's messy as it is with the funnel so I can't imagine without it. I'd recommend squeezing down on the plunger then unscrewing the bag and putting the lid on. If you push the puree down and then try to lift the plunger out before taking the bag off, a strong suction pulls some of it back out of the bag. I have preferred this system to the reusable bags some friends have. While it's less environmentally friendly, they've found those bags hard to keep clean and freak out when they get lost/thrown away as they are pricey! I also find that if I'm going to make a batch, I'm going to do a blender-full which often can fill 10-15 of these bags. If I'm making that many and want to freeze a bunch to go, it would be a huge investment in the reusable bags. These are great not just for babies - my toddler still enjoys it - and will be getting these in his lunch for awhile. What difference is this to applesauce (not a baby food) but can have much more nutritious combinations? The only complaint with making your own pouches is that they need to stay cold - you can't just have a bunch of these thrown in your diaper bag for "just in case" uses for snacks. If you are going to be out and about, they need to be in a lunch bag with an ice pack (or frozen before and can just thaw out).
Oh, my goodness! I am IN LOVE! The first time I saw this product, I thought it was a little ridiculous (who actually needs this thing?). Turns out, I do! It makes my life so much easier. We did 100% baby-led weaning with my older child (where the baby starts out eating table foods from the beginning), so I have zero experience with purees or baby food of any kind. However, my newest child is a late teether and underweight (not unrelated, I'd say). We had to get creative. I make lots of healthy fat filled, calorie dense purees in my Vitamix (avocado, coconut oil, lots of greens, whatever veggies I have lying around, nuts, sweet potato, beans, bananas, chia seeds, fruit to add flavour... you name it, I've tried it!), and then simply squeeze them into pouches and freeze. I only have to do this once or twice a month, and voila! Organic, whole food baby food to pack on the pounds! My son took a while to warm up to purees in general, but he loves them now :). And my toddler likes to have smoothies or applesauce in these pouches, too. The construction is simple and easy to figure out, and seriously easy to clean (bonus points from this brain dead, exhausted mama!) :).
I have had my eye on this since my son started baby food at 6 months and I wish I would have ordered it sooner. I didn't get this until he was 13 months old and it could have come in handy before then. It is so easy to use and even easier to clean up. I was a little worried about the clean up until I realized that everything just came apart and could be thrown into the dishwaher. The only thing I don't like about these pouches is that they are really easy for my son to squirt them out everywhere. He doesn't quite understand he can't just squeeze them everywhere. I have purchase a few store bought pouches and he didn't seem to have that problem so I don't know if they have something making it harder to squeeze it out or not.
Other than that, I absolutely love this product and totally worth the money!
Love this. My baby has refused prepackaged baby food since day one. I just thought he wasnt ready but I was wrong. He wants real food. This makes it soo easy to make and store in the freezer. I read bad reviews about this if you dont get it really smooth but some of his food has texture and a little chunky and I've never had a problem with a clog or getting messy. I only wish I could but extra tubes by itself so when I make a big batch of different foods to freeze, I dont have to continuously wash them every few minutes between different foods. And the punches are soo easy to warm up. I just put a frozen pouch in a cup of hot water for maybe 10 to 15 minutes and mash it around and ita ready to eat. I would definately recommend this to every mom
hese pouches are such a great invention for babies and even for my 4 yo daughter for snacks on the go. And this little station allows me to save money and be sure of the quality of the ingredients going into the recipe. I love to mix hight quality greek yogurt with fruits, sometimes adding a dash of maple syrup. The poches that come with this item are technically not reusable but they are very easy to clean so why throw them away? I do not see why there are three "seringue" thingy's, one would have been plenty. When you pull the pusher out, make sure you unscrew the "seringue" part so that it does not suck the food out.
I calculated that one quarter of included bags need to be consumed by my child to break even vs the store bought squeezes at $2-2.50 each.
The filling station is really easy to use. Doesn’t make much of a mess on the surrounding countertop. Trivial to fill bags and clean.
DO NOT try to overfill the bags. Use the measurements on the filler. The bag will have a little air space at the top. If you try to get rid of all the air the bag will be over filled and your kid will probably squeeze purée all over the place.
This is the best thing EVER! i am creating a blog listing all of my top baby products I have used since my son was born and this is definitely on the list. When we started solids at 6 months I first use a baby food freezer tray basically an ice tray. With this I would freeze the cubes and then dump them into ziploc snack size bags in sets of 4. I would often find that the cubes would get freezer burn fast. Now that I have found this system I cant imagine doing this any other way. We will be using the Squeeze Station for many years until our son is off to school and then will switch to homemade applesauce pouches. Will also hold on to this for baby #2!
Now here is why I love this system. I make my sons food and then poor it right into the system and push down, twist on the top and then freeze. When it comes time to feed him. I pull two pouches out of the freezer for the next day and so on. One thing I recommend when using this system is not to push the pouch all the way into the station so that it locks this makes it extremely hard to get out after you have filled the pouch and food will go every where when you are trying to tug it off. I recommend sliding the pouch on right before it would lock into the station and then twisting on the fill jars they will lock the pouch in place enough and there is not hassle in the end to remove it.
Overall if you have a baby and you are making there food this is a MUST HAVE PRODUCT.
This is the second time I am purchasing this product. I made all of my baby food with my first born and plan to do the same with my second baby.
I made the mistake of putting the clear tubes in our steam sterilizer last time and I melted 2 of the 3 tubes. So as long as you don’t do that this product will last you thought multiple babies!
Makes measuring our equal servings and storing the baby food so easy. The pouches are convenient to take to daycare and errands and they store much smaller than the reusable containers that I also have.
If you found this review helpful please let me know!
This fill station is awesome. Easy to use and very easy to clean. Parts are dishwasher safe and durable.
Comes with some pouches but they are not reusable. I bought a larger pack of Kiddzo pouches and they are amazing and work great with this station.
Recommendation: after using the plunger to squeeze food into pouch unscrew the filling tube from the station first! Or the plunger acts like a vacuum and sucks food back up.
I would highly recommend it. Money saved when you make your own food instead of buying already food packaged pouches. I bought it because I was so tired of mashing fruit and veg everyday for my 7 month baby. Two years later I still use it all the time. Highly recommend this item.
I've had this for 4 years now and I LOVE IT!!! I use it to make yogurt pouches and plenty of juice. The pouches are so sturdy, easy to close, easy to open, and easy for my son to eat from. Wonderful product!!
It's amazing that someone has not thought of it sooner. I am stashing more baby food in the freezer than my baby is able to eat, I am obsessed with it.
I felt this product came at the right time into my life. The pouches can be reused but it depends on what type of food you're pureeing. The overall kit is great, self explanatory!!
It is fantastic. It is important that we feed our babies and children healthy, nutritious foods. This has been one of the best purchases I've made for my son. I am OBSESSED with this.
Little to no mess involved. You can fill three squeeze pouches in less than 4 minutes. For Moms that have to carry baby food with them – this is the solution!
Don't think - Just get it. My baby eats out of packets herself. She loves those pouches. You can create any kind of food for your baby and you know what exactly the ingredients are. STOP your searching, and just buy this!
OVE LOVE LOVE this product. I honestly wasn't sure if it would be worth the money but it is! It doesn't have reusable packages but those are a pain to clean anyways so im ok with it. Its only around $15 for 50 pouches so your still saving a crazy amount of money vs. buying pouches in the store. Its so quick and easy to fill, clean, and re-use. I've found that it'll push a little air in the back when you get to the last bit of food, but if your quick and unscrew it right away than it isn't too bad. More importantly, my baby loves his homemade pouches!
I bought item because I was tired of taking a banana and mushing it for my 8 month old baby when we went out to restaurants and she wanted to eat. I make my own baby food at home so not much of a convenient way to travel w it unless I carry Tupperware spoon and wet naps to clean bowl off and zip block bag to store the dirty utensils. I still had to get home and wash them for reuse. Exhausting, now I used this magical station that is easy to use no need to plug in anywhere, and cleaning is a breeze. I just put the containers in hot water and dapple soap w my babies other utensils. I love the pouches!!! You can freeze for 2 months, or refrigerate for 48 hours use and toss. My little one loved it and no mess ... I would highly recommend it. Money saved when you make your own food vs buying already food packaged pouches. Highly recommend this item.
I first found the Fresh Squeeze system several years ago. I was driving more than 1,000 mikes a week and needed solution for eating things like yogurt and pudding while behind the wheel without spilling them all over my shirt. At the time filling tubes could be purchased with out the squeeze station. For several years the filling tube and bags worked acceptably well.
I have used the system to bring small servings of home made soup to my mother in law, 4 oz is a good serving size for her for a snack. Both my wife and I take pouches filled with salad dressing and condiments back and forth to the office for lunches. We use them for dressings and condiments for road road trips. Fill the pouches with guacamole, seal tight after shaking the air out and it will last for a long time with out oxidizing. Hummus works almost as easily as cheese wiz gently squeeze a small amount out to a chip or cracker. This system is the go to solution for almost any foods in a gel like consistency.
I use the bags for breakfast shakes made from powders and milk. Full on liquids are a little problematic with the standard filling tube. That was just solved by a 100 cc syringe which fills the bags with liquids very cleanly and easily.
We ordered the filling station to make filling the bags easier. As much as I liked the filling tube and bag set up the filling station is so much easier. I wish I had gone with it sooner.
This is a great product and it remains useful long after baby is on solid food. That is why I also gave filling stations, bags and spoons to two people in my family as baby shower gifts. What higher endorsement could there be of a product.
I purchased this in hopes of making my life a little simpler trying to make homemade food pouches for 2 toddlers and I was not disappointed. You can whip together your puree and fill 3 bags in a short period of time, it's awesome. This set comes with 10 of the Infantino disposable pouches; however, we are purchasing a set of reusable ones. I will caution not all reusable bags fit in this system so do your research there and avoid the headache we went through. Also, be careful not to fill the food tubes too high. There are markings on there which i didnt see at first so i filled it all the way to the top and ended up with a little bit of a mess! This is a nice, easy system. I'm glad I purchased it.. anything to make life with kids a little easier!
I have used it twice to make a total of 22 pouches of baby food. Super easy to use and very convenient to pack your freshly made baby food.
The pouches are great too, I love that you can squeeze the extra air out before freezing. Labeling is very important, and they provide a magnet with a chart to keep in mind how long the food is going to last fresh.
I've had this for 2 years now and am writing a review now because I just busted it out to make some more stuff. It's not just for baby food. When I received it as a gift from my mom, I was ecstatic and immediately destroyed my kitchen making all kinds of baby food. You quickly learn the tips and tricks: Don't overfill. Don't pull the pusher back out before you unscrew the filler tank, you'll suck all the food back up into it. Don't try to force a chunk that wasn't blended all the way into it, it will leak out of the side. It's very easy to use, easy to wash, easy to store. I LOVE IT!!! Now that my daughter is 2+, I use it to make yogurt pouches (what I was going today). I throw my yogurt in a food processor with a variety of fruits, blend well, fill using the squeeze station, and VOILA!! I have yogurt pouches that are good in the fridge/freezer without having to buy the ones from the store with god only knows what preservatives in it. I actually cleaned out my freezer recently and had some pouches of baby food in there from 1+ years ago. The food may not have still been good, but the pouches hold up amazingly well! Extremely sturdy, easy to close, easy to open, and easy for my daughter to eat from. Wonderful product!! I really don't have anything bad to say about this squeeze station.
